STAR MAIDENS
Jasmine Webb is a lovable klutzy high school student with dreams of becoming a pop star, but fate had other plans for her. On her summer vacation with her mother on a routine archaeological expedition in the Arctic Circle, she stumbles upon an ancient ruin where she accidentally released an imprisoned mysterious entity sealed there for 1,000 years. A fairy that was the guardian of the ruins approached Jasmine and told her that it is her responsibility to reseal the strange entity. She had given Jasmine to powers to become a Star Maiden, a powerful planetary defender with fantastic super powers. Being a klutz, Jasmine at first never expects this kind of occupation since she actually doesn’t have the skills and the potential to be a super heroine. But still manage to learn the ropes and uses the opportunity to use her identity to pursue her dreams, much to the chagrin of her guardian.
But now with strange occurrences around the world relating to the entity, Jasmine had no choice but to stop it and reseal it to its’ eternal tomb. But sometimes when facing insurmountable odds, even a girl like her, with all the super powers she possessed, needs a little help: and it comes in the form of Ayeko Carter, her best friend and high school classmate; and Regina Dovehart, a Western European princess which is the descendant of the only warrior who sealed Vortex in her eternal tomb. But fighting the forces of evil maybe the least of her worries: as Jasmine is now faced with a school rival who holds a dark secret that could mean the end of the world, as we know it.
Facing everything from supernatural alien menaces to boy crushes and algebra tests, in her newfound identity as the beautiful and courageous crusader Aurora Star, Jasmine fights for love, truth and justice against the forces of evil. It’s a tough job for a girl to do, but somebody’s got to do it.
