Cassandra Romanova, a Ukrainian-born half-American and half-Russian whose estranged parents were Russian military personnel was betrayed their country and joined the Russian Mafia, was an agent with Russia’s Federal Security Bureau’s counter-terrorism division before she was recruited to GOTHIC (Global Operations Tactical Headquarters for Intelligence and Counterterrorism). She is trained in hand-to-hand combat including military-issue Close Quarters Combat and Judo. She is also a trained negotiator and interrogator. She is fluent in Russian, Japanese, French and English although she speaks with an American accent.
