Grant Kilpatrick is the team’s sniper, personnel manager and expert tactician. He was a former US Marine Corps Force Recon member engaging in covert counter-terrorist operations around the world before 9/11. On a routine mission in Somalia, a terrorist rocket-propelled grenade took his left eye and was replaced by a cybernetic optical sensor. His refusal to participate in the 2003 Iraqi invasion booted him out from the military. He spends most of the decade serving as security consultant before joining John Bullitt’s mercenary rescue team. Grant is a stern and serious individual. Even though he was drummed out of the military, he still lives my its’ procedures and protocol. He will not stand dissension in the team and has the authority to suspend operatives for disobeying orders, even has the power to fire them. Grant keeps a cool head under pressure can do not take pity on his adversaries. His favorite hobbies are accounting and tracking employee records. His favorite foods are corned beef and potato hash. Like most of his teammates, Grant is infused with nanomachines enabling him with athletic-like strength and speed as well as enhanced senses, superhuman agility, reflexes and combat capabilities. Grant’s cybernetic optic sensor in his lost left eye enables him with telescopic and heat-sensing thermal vision and remote satellite uplink to pinpoint enemy positions. He is a trained expert marksman with experience in semi-automatic and bolt-action sniper weapons. He is an expert in camouflage techniques and infiltration. He is a master tactician who research a mission target using maps, computers and surveillance photos and is an expert in selecting mission personnel and coordinating strategic team maneuvers. He is a black belt in kung fu and military-style boxing. He is also has extensive training in Close-Quarter Combat and hostage negotiating. On occasions he employs Claymore mines around his position when assigned a stationary sniper/recon post. His preferred rifles are either a Heckler & Koch SL8 5.56mm or a G3 selective-fire 7.62mm. Like his teammates, he is implanted a internal communications module surgically emplaced inside near his skull that enables him to “cyber-link” with his other teammates.
