·    Jack Rogue – Jack Rogue is a freelance mercenary and a former pirate with the Blackbeard clan. Until recently, he lived a carefree, yet secluded lifestyle doing high-risk black ops missions around the world, and fashions himself as a partying ladies’ man. Despite his happy-go-lucky attitude hides a dark past with his days back in the clan, involving a double-cross and murder of his parents. Jack seeks one days for redemption; that day came when the US government hired him to form an independent anti-pirate bounty hunting team. He now uses his resources to find to capture every notorious terrorist pirate in the seven seas and redeem himself from his demons. Jack is a goofy, klutzy lighthearted fellow who tries himself to be a magnet for whiskey and women. But is a professional when it comes to combat. He likes to party all day when he’s not on duty, but a determined sense of justice, inner rage and desire for revenge makes him someone you cannot underestimate. His favorite hobbies are dating women and playing with radio-controlled boats. His favorite food is cooked squid. Jack is infused with cybernetic implants enabling him to hack any computer and electronics system. The implants also gives his enhanced strength and superior reflexes. He is a master in kung fu, jujitsu, Thai kickboxing and brawling. He is a trained swordsman but rather prefer a Japanese katana blade to the usual pirate sword (he thinks those are too stereotypical). He is a trained expert in all firearms and small caliber weapons. He carries a backup “Equalizer” revolver: a four-shot handgun specifically modified and designed to fire “magic-based” munitions used to counter enemies with supernatural powers, as well as standard .357 magnum shells. He is experienced in maritime navigation and mapping. He is also a licensed pilot of various maritime vehicles raging from powerboats to jet skis. He is an expert aircraft pilot. Since the formation of his pirate-hunting clan, he has access to a top-secret military assault stealth craft armed with smart-sensor gatling cannons and homing torpedoes. He has support from a US-approved ex-pirate fleet (a battleship and an aircraft carrier) commanded by British Intelligence agent turned fellow pirate hunter Claire Boudreaux, the twin sister of Jack’s former lover, who died during a battle with a ruthless pirate clan.

RANDAL STRAUB

·    Randal Straub – Randal Straub, a British-born aristocrat and former member of MI6, is an undercover NSA agent specializing in the recent resurgence of global pirate activity. He is concerned about the four-century-return of organized naval piracy that has enticed the interest of several crime syndicates, drug runners and terrorists. He suspected that an international organization based on the 16th century buccaneering exploits of the legendary pirate Blackbeard is behind the recent hijacking and plundering of NATO military vessels, private military contractor transports and civilian cruise ships. His hunch is right when his latest undercover operation revealed this organization, leading a chain reaction of events up until his first encounter with pirate hunter Jack Rogue. Since then, they have became partners and good friends and Randal become Jack’s new pirate hunting team’s tactical officer, mechanic, sniper and pilot of their armored assault craft, the Sea Dagger. Despite being a professional secret agent, Randal fashioned himself to be a ladies man and a refined gentleman. He constantly gets in unwanted romantic flirtations with Lori Hiiragi, on of the team’s young members, making fellow team member David Nagato extremely jealous. Randal also is a little frustrated keeping the usual chores cleaning and maintaining the team’s Tampa base/tropical bar and fine tuning and rearming the Sea Dagger between missions. He also has the unfortunate responsibility as Jack’s designated driver and nighttime nanny after Jack got drunk on late night parties. But despite these setbacks, Randal remain upbeat and coolheaded in every situation, especially in mission where he focus on the best strategic advantage for his team. His favorite hobbies are reading poetry and romance novels and flirting with the local women. His favorite food is classified. Randal is a seasoned intelligence operative, having vast experience in undercover and cover ops. He is educated in mathematics, maritime navigation, geography and multiple languages. He is an experienced athlete and diver, maintaining his body through extended physical and mental exercise and diet. He also is a trained expert in Jujitsu. Thanks to his experience working undercover as a pirate, he learns and trains in various sword fighting and fencing techniques using the 16th Century cutlass, although he also has extended training in the English broadsword and the Japanese katana. He is an Olympic-level marksman with expertise on firearms and military small arms. His preferred main weapon is an Heckler & Koch HK416 5.56mm carbine equipped with a sniper scope. He is well-trained in advanced tactical driving and operating all types of maritime vehicles. He is also a qualified helicopter and small aircraft pilot.

LORI HIIRAGI

Real name: Lori Hiiragi Eyes: Blue Hair: Orange Height: 5 ft. 3 in. Weight: 105 lbs. Occupation: Pirate hunter, intelligence agent, adventurer Base: Tampa, Florida

·    Lori Hiiragi – Lori Hiiragi was a Half-Japanese daughter of a professional mercenary fighting in proxy wars around the globe. It was a chance encounter in Southeast Asia between the father-daughter team and local pirates (the real world river pirate kind, not the Blackbeard operatives she would later encounter) when they shot him dead, leaving Lori at the mercy of the gunmen, When suddenly, a rebel group rescued her. She was then raised at the local village where the rebels camp and helped by a American missionary. There she was trained by a samurai master who was the village’s resident. When she reached 15, Lori was determined to continue her late father’s work, traveling the world as a self-styled mercenary and bounty hounter herself. It was an ill-fated assignment in the Caribbean where she was protecting a Latin American diplomat on a peace-negotiating mission when met up with the Blackbeard organization. During the scuffle, an disgruntled and very drunk ex-pirate named Jack Rogue intervened and unknowingly rescued her with the pirates’ clutches. She later tracked Jack to a local bar in Tampa where she would later reluctantly join his pirate-hunting group and have many adventures ahead as the team’s current member. Lori is a spunky, confident young woman with a taste for adventure. She also is the more responsible and coolheaded of the group. She always gets a backseat whenever her team goes head first into a fight, but sometimes she is frustrated at their hotheadedness and helps her friends out, even though she ends up as the stereotypical “damsel in distress”. She often acts like a sister to fellow teammate David Nagato, trying to get him out of trouble every time he goes into a nasty situation. She also is furious with Jack’s constant drinking and ends up helping Randal Straub clean out the vomit Jack spewed at the HQ. Her favorite hobbies are basketball and gardening. Her favorite food is miso soup. Lori a trained martial arts combatant, especially in the samurai and ninja fighting arts. She is also trained in ninja magic and teleportation techniques. She’s also an Olympic-level pistol marksman. Her preferred mêlée weapons are two katana blades or two sai knives. She also carries two Smith & Wesson .357 magnum revolvers for close quarters combat. She is trained in computers, operating remote control systems, and surveillance. She rides a Honda Ninja motorcycle. She speaks fluent English and Japanese.

DAVID NAGATO

Real name: David Lawrence Nagato Jr. Eyes: Blue Hair: Black Height: 5 ft. 4 in. Weight: 152 lbs. Occupation: Pirate hunter, adventurer Base: Tampa, Florida

·    David Nagato – David Nagato was estranged from his fortune hunter parents when they search for a valuable treasure in the Caribbean two years ago. Fearing that his parents are presumed missing, David went to a local bar in Tampa to find a guide that will help his search for them. He unwittingly find a scruffy sea guide named Jack Rogue. At first David did not see Jack as the right man for the job, But his credentials persuade him otherwise in fact that he hired Jack to bring him to the site where his parents were last seen. During the search, their boat was hijacked by Blackbeard pirates and were kidnapped. After they were taken to a pirate battleship, David soon discovered of what was left of his parents’ clothing. Believing they were killed by the pirates, David became consumed with rage, but Jack calms him down as they planned to escape with the ship. After their near-perilous escape, Jack revealed that he is running a government-funded pirate hunting group and he would like to invite David to join him: in return, believing that David’s parents are not dead and maybe still in captivity by the pirates, Jack promise him he will find his parents and rescue them. David agreed, and the young boy became one of Jack’s most trusted agents and best friend. He is also one of the gunners’ mate at the team’s heavily armed fast attack craft, the Sea Dagger. David has some anti-social issues: he’s obsessed with finding his parents that he had no time for interacting with his other members, something that concerned his fellow teammate Lori Hiiragi. He is also the team’s resident troublemaker, getting him and/or his teammates into one dangerously sticky situation after another. David constantly looks up to Jack as a big brother figure, despite Jack’s receptively goofing off and ongoing late night partying and drinking. Although David has friction with Lori, who acts somewhat like a sister to him, he trust her and counts on her to help him out of trouble. David is also filled with angst for being abandoned by his parents. On a mission or in battle, he is an all-out adrenaline junkie who never backs down from a fight, whether is commanding the rotary gun turrets on the Sea Dagger, or facing of several pirates in a swordfight. His favorite hobbies are reading comic books, skeet shooting, hiking, jet skiing, motorcycle racing and playing soccer. His favorite food is Swedish meatballs. Despite his late teens, David has many multitalented skills to rival a professional. He is a athletic swimmer and trained scuba diver. He is trained in operating the latest paramilitary naval weapons systems. He is a black belt as aikido and Greco-roman wrestling. He is a gifted fencer and received extensive sword fighting training from Jack Rogue. He is trained in civilian and military small arms and weapons. He is qualified to operate small maritime vessels and crafts such as jet skis, hovercrafts and amphibious vehicles. He is trained in survival skills and field medicine.
