Jackie Li is a Zeta-Super and one to the top detectives in the Hong Kong Police Force’s Hyper Crimes division. Jackie is a hard-nose individual, whose method of solving crime is a no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners approach, which sometimes clashes with the cool level-headiness of his partner, Fa-Wing Chan. Jackie is somewhat hardheaded and a little irresponsible of tracking his own powers, but his dedication to the job and overwhelming sense of justice and duty makes up for his flaws. Although he occasionally argues with Fa-Wing on anything from social issues to police procedures, he looks to his other comrades at the Hyper Crimes division, as they were his second family. He also respects and trusts his superior in his unit, Chief Inspector Wong, since he otherwise distrusts the other commanders in the force for lack of authority. He also likes to flirt on the phone to his girlfriend, an intelligence officer for the Chinese military. His favorite hobbies are motorcycle and dirt bike racing and participating in various local martial arts tournaments to improve his skills and to earn extra cash. His favorite foods are spring rolls, pork and vegetable egg rolls and chicken-flavored ramen. Like all other Zeta-Supers, his standard abilities and powers include temporary flight, projecting fireball-like projectiles from his hands, and enhanced strength and speed. Also like all Zeta-Supers, he has a five-minute limit for continuous use of his abilities: if he continues to strain his powers beyond the five-minute mark, he will lose them completely and became as vulnerable as an ordinary human for at least 24 hours before his powers return. His fighting styles are Kung Fu and Judo. He has seasoned detective skills and photographic memory. He is trained in small-caliber firearms and edged weapons. His preferred weapon is a Beretta 92F 9mm handgun. He rides in his Honda racing motorcycle.
