Yuji Honzo was a former sumo wrestler and an undercover officer with the Tokyo Police Department, working on covert stings on illegal underground martial arts tournaments, until an accidental death of a participant during one of his assignments forced him to transfer to the traffic patrol division for years. Eager to return to the field, Yuji tried hard to get a detective position on the department, which was refused by his superiors due to being a danger to public safety. Yuji was selected to be an exchange officer to the Hong Kong Police Department’s Traffic Safety office. There, it was en encounter with a powerful Zeta-Super criminal that convinced Captain William Wong, the commander of the department’s Hyper Crimes Division, to invite Yuji to be recruited to the unit. Yuji reluctantly accepted, despite concerns by the Internal Affairs Division about his past incident at Tokyo. Yuji is a renaissance man: He advises words of wisdom and quotations from many poets to his fellow officers. He is also a quiet, humble man and a pacifist who does not want to use violence as a first measure to solve problems. But his undying determination and sense of justice makes him a valuable asset to the unit. He also has an enormous appetite, as evident in taking food breaks between and during stakeouts. His favorite hobbies are reading Western and Japanese literature and poetry. His favorite foods are all kinds of Chinese and Japanese foods. Despite his bulky size and enormous wide appearance, Yuji is surprisingly agile: performing gymnastic-style flips and cartwheels that utterly confuse his opponents to the point of disillusion. His vast experience as a sumo wrestler comes in handy in hand-to-hand combat, and his black belt in Karate further enhanced his fighting skills. His handgun of choice is a Smith & Wesson .38 sub nosed revolver. Yuji is a seasoned detective and undercover operative with expert knowledge in Japanese organized crime and activities. Yuji is also an expert in advance driving and street racing, a trait he gained from his days as a traffic officer, making him an unbelievably effective and multitalented officer.
