Lucas McGovern, a 20-year Special Forces veteran and top investigator in the US Army‘s Criminal Investigations Division, is the son of General Douglas McGovern: the man responsible for overseeing the alien experiments gathered from technology that was been confiscated from Area 51 since the 1950’s. Lucas was one of Dust Derringer’s superiors during the Persian Gulf War when he partly witness Derringer being involved in the murder of a field general, a crime that Dust did not commit. Years later when Derringer resurfaced as a freelance bounty hunter, Lucas was assigned from his father to head a special task force in apprehending Derringer, presumably in Lucas’ mind to bring him to justice for the murder for their commanding general. Now Lucas and his task force of soldiers tracks Derringer’s whereabouts around the globe and are determined to hunt him down. But Derringer always eluded his pursuers in past encounters. Lucas made it his personal him to bring him to justice, but his doubts of his father’s whereabouts and clues pointing to a secret conspiracy suggest if whether of not Derringer is a pawn or an accomplice of a larger web of corruption within the US military. Lucas is an honor-bound soldier with an undying determination to finish his mission no matter how insurmountable the odds. He is also concerned about the plague of corruption within the military, which ultimately tests his devoted loyalty to the uniform and his undying patriotism. He has some serious questions he would like to ask to Dust when he finally arrests him, but had several disappointments when losing him, giving Lucas more grim motivation to track him down.
