Mark Gruber was an anarchist and extortionist when an accident in a nuclear power plant during one of his hostage taking ordeals changed him forever. When exposed to nuclear radiation, his physique increases a hundred fold and gives him superhuman strength, invulnerability, and the power to emit power blasts from his hands. He can also, at full strength, emit an electromagnetic pulse powerful enough to black out everything within a 12-city block radius. The only way to stop him is to freeze him and lower his body temperature to normal levels leaving him powerless.
